A romantic thatched holiday home for rent in lovely surroundings close to Grenaa, Denmark. The house is situated in the small village of Højbjerg 7 km (4.4 miles) from Grenaa.
The house was originally built in 1827 but renovated and modernised several times to become a lovely place to spend a holiday for a maximum of 7 persons. The size is a spacious 158 sqm. on a lot of 2450 sqm.
It is two-storeyed and has 3 bedrooms, a living room, kitchen and a bathroom with shower. The facilities include wood-burning stove, television with satellite dish, washing machine, fridge and freezer. Parking on the grounds.The garden is beautifully landscaped with fruit trees, vegetable garden and a lawn with a tiny lake, tall trees and a spring.
Distance to a fine sand beach is 2 km (1,25 miles). Distance to shopping is 2 km (1,25 miles). Nearby Katholm Castle offers large woods and lovely stretches of dunes accessible by foot or bicycle. Other places to visit include Aarhus (second largest city in Denmark), close by Æbeltoft and of course Vadum close to Aalborg where Anders Wulff's farm was situated.
You can reach the house by car from anywhere in Europe or by air to Copenhagen or Billund (not far from Vejle) and continue by car to Grenaa.
